What Procurement could look like

February 28, 2022 by Martina Buchhauser

Current, severe incidents have put the world in another uproar that brings tragedy to many people. Although the economic ramifications will always be a side issue compared to humanitarian consequences šŸ’—, it shows again how Procurement and supply chain organizations swiftly need to proactively rebuild and mitigate shortages within their supply chains. Therefore, skills such as building and nurturing strong relationships within the ecosystem and orchestrating the interaction of many players in the entire network have become essential šŸŒ. In addition, being at the pulse of whatā€™s happening in the world to identify potential risk early enough almost makes Procurement professionals experts of internal and external affairs.

It is even more important to rethink how Procurement works today to manage those volatile and unpredictable events. So let us shape the future of Procurement together. What if this was the new way?
